The first console I managed to scrap enough money to buy was the NES, the first game I played on the NES must have been Castlevania, though that was on a friends console way before I bought mine.

I remember the frist game I played was the original Castlevania to nes. Suffice to say it wasn't a huge success given the difficulty of the game.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have yet to come across a Zelda game that is better than this.
