Ventrillo killed RPG within guilds and I hate it. I've never played anything with Everquest in the title, even though I've played every other MMO that has ever come to market.

I think the general reaction to Oblivion speaks for itself. That's the game we (the US RPG audience) want, but with slightly more engaging/complex melee combat system.
