it depends what game ive got on my hands... say on mechwarrior, id be the heavy artillery, pelting people from far with lrm, or say in battlefield 1942, id get myself a panzer, sit on a hill and just pelt things from up there but on western rpgs, i like to play the high dexterity-dodge...

charmander is the greatest... of the 3, fireblast is superior in all ways to the grass and water equivalent... it just looks cooler i remember on my first run through, my charizard had dig, fly, fireblast and firespin on. epic epic combination!

in freespace 2... there are a lot of levels that you can't actually beat there are a few missions where the ships that are supposed to be under the protagonist's protection will get blown up no matter how good your defending skills are.. took me a few reloads of the mission before i realized...

not close to as bad as some of the mentions here, but kotor 2 i think deserves a mention there are quests like hunting down the hk50 droid factory that cant be done, among many others!
