It sounds sexist, but this. Guys have better blood circulation, more efficient digestion, greater muscle mass, and stronger immune systems, and receive preferential treatment from almost every institution ever. It's not that guys are better; it's just that being a guy is easier.

I considered pretending to be gay while applying to college, because it have given me something to set me apart. The thing that bugs me about affirmative action isn't that it gives others a leg up, but that it makes being pink (or male, or straight) a liability.
