Adventure games have been starting to suck lately but Jonathan Boakes' The Lost Crown is my vote for the best game ever. And I wasn't expecting too much of it to be honest.
Ambling Bellows in Final Fantasy XIII. The only way to beat it is to get lucky I do not care what you say. Took me nearly 45 minutes to kill the thing, and it wasn't even a boss!
That moaning noise the Closers in Silent Hill 3 make. It's like a female zombie type groaning thing, and the sound goes to a certain point and then reverses itself. So disturbing. Also the Closers are bar-none the scariest video game monsters ever.
For me at least, the quality of the multiplayer depends on the people playing it. I've had nothing but a jolly old time with COD4, great, *mostly* friendly competitive play, but I find all the 9-year-old kids and 30-year-old perverts playing Gears 2 a little disturbing. Team Fortress 2 is...

I have an idea! How about we make a game where the concept ISN'T "we give you a weapon and give you a bunch of things to kill." 'Cause when you get right down to it, that's the idea behind almost EVERY SINGLE GAME in the last ten years.
