While I do love Mass Effect and the Final Fantasy games, I'm probably going to have to say The World Ends With You; great music, fresh game play, great characters, etc. Overall I found the game fun, and more compelling to play than a lot of other RPGs.

Eternal Darkness, hands down. The enemies aren't scary in themselves, just how well the sanity meter works in game, it changes everything. I haven't played much of Amnesia, but from what I did, I didn't think it was as scary as Eternal Darkness.

It really depends on the type of game, if it is very story oriented, then it really benefits from a good soundtrack. (i.e. Most RPGs) Shooters on the other hand are a different kettle of fish, they don't need music to be compelling, mainly because music would not feature in a real life...

Civilization games on Cid difficulty, Age of Empires can be a pain on the higher up ones too. Not forgetting some of the Expert songs in the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games.

A sequel to "The World Ends With You". I finished that recently enough and I love it to pieces. Looking through the list of games so far I want almost all of them though. It's annoying when a great game doesn't get commercial success.
