The best way to describe a good egg nog the way I have always had it. Cold, small bit of rum (shot or 3/4 shot in 8oz) with a dash of nutmeg on top. It is somewhat heavy like a cream, the taste and consistency is something like a melted shake, with a hint of the rum and nutmeg.
