You raise a valid point, and I have to agree. One thing this will still not solve though is obviously the religion debate as faith isn't an opinion its a belief, even if it is unreasonable and invalid, but that's just my opinion :P

In my opinion, there simply isn't one. People give themselves meaning depending on the things they believe or based on current society. You can only give purpose to yourself based on your environment, things you know. It's very hard to give a good example (been trying for the past 10 minutes :P).

as said above, the only way to truly wipe your hard drive clean is a reformat. only takes a couple hours to install everything again, and there would probably be a noticeable speed increase.
