Every off-topic section of forums I have been on, have had a religion thread. It's a rather interesting topic that people feel strongly about, why there is a large number with a large number of posters.

If they aren't too pushy, then there's no problem. If they are hilariously pushy and really determined, then yes, annoyance. But not hate, too strong of a word.
