Savescum? How? You'd have to make a backup in the data folder, and that isn't something most people usually do. Also, odd that Forgotten Beasts have been replaced with angry cavern dwellers. And that the normal creatures seem to be harder to beat.

I cannot use a tileset. It actually messes with my head, since I am used to ASCII, I tried to use a tileset, but it just makes no sense to me, as I find no problem with it. Edit: no problem with the ASCII.

Short term solution: Tell dwarves to gather plants. They can be brewed into booze while you wait for your farm to start up. No potash needed.

We need a giant purple statue in honor of root. We need a giant purple stature garden. After all, Root is the perfect dwarf role model, and would be great for military propaganda.
