The Crash Bandicoot PSOne games (and CTR) and Timesplitters were what really got me into spending lots of my cash on games, and when I would consider myself to have become a 'gamer', though before that the biggies were Tetris, Pokemon and Civilization 2.

The X-Men movies, off the top of my head. I'll have a think. Not that Halo 2 is the best, though (and I would guess I'm supported by the majority here, that either (my personal choice) 1 or maybe 3 are the best, not 2).
