Also, while I think of it, Wouldn't a photo of yourself be an appropriate Avatar? It is you as you want to be seen, as you will probably have picked the photo yourself. Mainly for social networking, this applies.

The main problem i have with 3D entertainment is that it is only 3D in one dimension. You can only look foward at it, not interact with it. Until the walls between 3D and virtual reality are broken, 3D entertainment will remail a fad. Besides, we already have 3D films. They're called Plays.
