I think the reason so many people think you have a bias against Nintendo is that you do have a bias against long-running series, and there's a lot of overlap with that and Nintendo.

The thing that really bothers me about this game is that Sega will probably use this game as an example to claim that Americans can't handle Sonic games and prevent Team Headcanon from getting any creative control, despite them being the only ones who have made good Sonic games lately.

I liked Aria of Sorrow. I even liked Dawn of Sorrow, despite Soma having absolutely no reason to be there. For me, the improvements to the gameplay were enough to make up for the weak story.

In terms of the potion industry, there is an optional "Hero Mode" in which enemies don't drop hearts. But Yahtzee might not have had time to try that before making the review (and it doesn't do anything about the soup).
