    Benefits of learning Latin?

I took latin for three years back in high school. The only real-world application I've found for myself was that it was a HUGE help on my SATs. Then I went on to major in art in college, so you can imagine how many times it came up there. Come to think of it, that whole Calculus thing ended up...

Poll: How much does it cost to see a movie where you live?

Matinée price (before 6pm) $6.50 Regular price (after 6pm) $11 3D price $16 I mostly go to the drive-ins during the summer. Double feature, and it costs $20 per car. Pack the car with friends and you're looking at maybe $3-$4 each for two movies. Can't beat that.

Is this stealing adobe photoshop? Moral conundrum

Ok first the bad then the good. A) Yes it's illegal. B) I have CS4 (legally, I might add) and 1) it's totally worth the money. 2) During my time in art college, I needed Flash for a course in digital media. It strikes me as weird that your school would require you to purchase these...

    Your Opinions on Windows 7

My only issue with 7 is that it made the built in blu-ray player on my laptop (which wasn't even a year old at the time) no longer work. It still plays DVDs, but not blu-ray. I don't care what the commercials say, that wasn't MY idea :P

If you could be 16 again.

I had the EXACT same reaction. If I knew then what I know now I could've saved myself from A LOT of relationship trouble.

    How Mature Are You?

I'll second that. My friends always see me as the boring, responsible one because I don't drink and/or party, etc. Which I'm totally cool with :) In the relationships I've been in in the past, I've found myself to be pretty immature, but it's been more of a case of dating immature girls...

The first computer game you ever played?

It's a bit fuzzy, but I think it was Frogger for the Atari 2600. Sonic the Hedgehog was the true staple of my childhood, though.

Since when was this total shit?!?!?!

Same here. I dug out my Tetris and my original Gameboy (that huge grey brick) and found myself playing for hours. I also found (and bought for $5, thank you) Power Rangers: The Movie, for my Game Gear that I still have from my childhood (yes, I actually had one of those six-battery...

University Experimentally Bans Facebook and Twitter

When I was a freshman in high school we didn't have social networking sites! ...seriously though, we didn't. I think it's a good idea, because it goes to show that it's harder for those who have used these sites from a young age to wane themselves off than those who were older when they...

What is the appeal (if any) of parties to you?

I don't party for a couple of reasons. a) I don't drink. And b) If I'm invited to a party, it's usually because someone wants me to be the designated driver. Now I'm fine with people drinking in a social context, but being in a place where people drink to get drunk is not my scene. I went...

Films You Really Don't Want To See Remakes Of

Back to the Future. A remake is rumored, and I hope it never comes to fruition. Remaking a movie that was already perfect is, to me, like someone trying to repaint the Mona Lisa.

    Not quite relationship problem however....

Tread softly, my friend. Sometimes people look to reconnect with someone from a specific point in their life, in hopes of recapturing that same happiness. Like re-living the glory days. My advice to you is that, if you don't want it to go anywhere, just go on living your life and ignore her.

Would you ever pose nude for a sculpture, painting, etc

Well to answer your first point, I'll just say this: The medium doesn't make the art, the art makes the medium. Each has its own strengths and weakness, both aesthetically and physically. So I can't say I'd prefer one over the other. Secondly, it definitely would've been interesting to...

Would you ever pose nude for a sculpture, painting, etc

If schools had the funding for marble and the four years it would take to sculpt it with a chisel, I'm sure it would be ;). But seriously, clay is easier to sculpt, it's more forgiving than anything you could chisel away, and it's reusable. After you finish a sculpture, you grab the clay and...

Would you ever pose nude for a sculpture, painting, etc

Well I'm glad my little first-hand account could shed some light on some things. I had to draw them (graphite, charcoal, etc), paint (mostly acrylic), and I took a sculpture course too (clay).
