The first anime that wasn't pokemon and that I really enjoyed watching was Bamboo Blade. It's a story about a team of kendo fighters and their problems in high school, it's easy to watch and takes my mind off things. Very fun, I highly recommend it to anyone that likes anime. Yours truly...
