Now I want to go on a hunt for Dark Cloud 2. I own the first one, but now I have a burning desire to get #2 and play through it.

Dark Cloud was awesome, though I got to the end and was never able to beat the boss. I think I spent too much time Upgrading Toan and nobody else. =P I didn't get very far in Dark Cloud 2, but I'll have to agree with you on that. They really did improve everything, in my opinion.

I was slightly upset that, unlike its predecessors, in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess there were no usable fire, ice or light arrows. Bomb arrows were a nice touch, but they weren't the same. Still loved the game, though.
