    Jimquisition: Fake Nerd Girls

Yes...because the gaming industry itself never used fake (Digital) girls to try to get your attention. I don't get how girls who use fake-gaming as a form of sex appeal can be a problem to gamers when the gaming industry uses fake girls as a form of sex appeal all the time. At best, you're...

    Jimquisition: Rape vs. Murder

I ultimately have to side with free expression here. If rape is not ok to make a game about, unfortunately, nothing is. I, however, agree with the points made in the video for the most part, especially in saying that I think rape themed games have a right to exist, but I don't necessarily have...

    Movies of games suck because?

Part of it is due to the time difference, another part is just how much of gaming's narrative can come from gameplay. Film makers understand their craft (not necessarily all of them, but that's a different discussion), and game makers understand theirs. A game designer likely understands...

Jimquisition: Piracy Episode One - Copyright

Part of me does in fact wonder how much richer companies would be if they spent nothing on DRM (which doesn't work anyway) and bribing politicians, or lobbying, if you prefer. That is a lot of money that is currently not getting you anywhere...

Who is your favourite video game character?

Captain Price...you don't argue with that hat.

Poll: Does DRM ever actually affect your purchase?

Really would depend on the DRM. I can take steam, although that is more about the fact that it gives me a lot of convenience in exchange for my freedom. Not down with always on DRM at all. The thought that a single lag spike from my modem, or any computer on the way to a company, or the...

The Witcher 2 Pirated "Roughly 4.5 Million" Times, Says Dev

I hope more people in the industry see the problem of piracy in a similar light...With always on DRM now, it really cannot get any more constrictive, and hopefully they realize that they probably lose more money with DRM than it creates in sales (if it even creates any).

Jimquisition: Used Games Have A Right To Exist

These last 2 have been in my honest opinion the best and most true episodes of the Jimquisition so far. Here's hoping for just as good of a followup next week.

    Stupid sexist advert

I think it's more the scooter and less the fact that she's driving it.

So , i'm going to try to quit smoking today , any advice?

For context: I have never smoked, but I have seen people who do and have tried to quit. 1. I'm not sure I would try cold turkey, but good luck with it. I do hope it works. 2. Find something to do with your hands. Supposedly this is one of the harder parts of the habit to break. 3...

Comic shop boycotts Action Comics for "taking the lords name in vain"

Ok? Someone boycotting something on the basis of personal principles...is this really something to make a big deal out of? Would this somehow not be stupid anymore if he was boycotting it because superman made a racist joke about the American president?

A point of contraversy (part 1) - Buying a game used is as bad as pirating?

Ok, here is the thing, buying used is not as bad as pirating. When you pirate, you get something you did not pay for. When you buy used, you gain something that the developer and publisher has already been paid for, and the original owner loses it. This is more or less the same...

Poll: Should UK police be given guns as standard issue?

It's kind of a tricky question, and more or less comes down to priorities. I have seen a thread earlier with a video where it took 20+ police officers in good ol' GB to have one guy with a knife or something restrained, because they lacked superior firepower, but it would be foolish to think...

Blizzard Surprised by Reaction to Online-Only Diablo 3

Hmmm...Interesting. From the MTV Games page. "In the end, there's little option but to accept that this is where the most successful gaming company on the planet has decided to go. You could, I suppose, not play "Diablo 3." But really, what are the odds of that happening?" Show of hands...

Blizzard Surprised by Reaction to Online-Only Diablo 3

Oh, of course. Come on guys, he said it wasn't DRM, what are you all worried about? It just looks exactly like Ubisoft's always-on DRM due to coincidence and has the same problem of always-on DRM of dumping you out when you lose connection. Ugh...I really thought Blizzard should have known...
