Another odd thing about it being on Steam, I have the season pass and Freedom Cry is supposed to be included in that, but Steam is showing me that I need to purchase it.

The bug allowed for the faction imbalance to become completely gamebreaking. It was bad before, but the bug gave them incentive to go in and spawn-rape and kill the bases turrets (which shouldn't have been able to be killed in my opinion) over and over again
