    Thoughts About ESO

I only just recently hopped on the Elder Scrolls Online bandwagon due to peer pressure, and it's struck me how little I've been enjoying the game. So, I apologize if you think this has been talked to death by now, but I'm pretty new to the discussion and want to try and clarify my thoughts by...

Best voice acting in a video game

I'm surprised Portal only got a passing mention so far. Portal 2 has two of my favorite characters of all time, just for their voices and writing - Wheatley and Cave Johnson. "The bean counters said I couldn't fire a man just for being in a wheelchair. Did it anyway; ramps are expensive!"

    Do you enjoy 'boring' games?

I put boring in quotes because that's not quite a fair description; after all, all games have at least a few fans who would object. So the kind of game I'm talking about is, to pull a random example, train simulators. I sat down yesterday and played one for the first time, and for reasons...

How Does Elder Scrolls Canon Work?

So in Skyrim you're just trying to build a new life and have to become a hero again, re-learning the old skills after centuries of peaceful life and finally being rightfully hailed as a legend? Someone needs to make a story mod, stat.

    Prison Architect Kitchen Efficiency

Judging from my experience, you'd need one about the size of Ohio since they insist on not preparing enough food. Seriously though, I've had much better luck making a bunch of decentralized canteens, even with much smaller prisons. I had a prison that got up over 100 and was still using one...

How Does Elder Scrolls Canon Work?

Perhaps one person actually did all that, but since he/she became the Gray Fox everyone forgot about their existence. I haven't checked this out but if there are only vague references at best to the Oblivion hero in Skyrim, that would explain it perfectly. There obviously must have been a...

Best, most noteworthy or otherwise interesting Skyrim moment?

Unfortunately no, I was talking about the Dota 2 one: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=307548333 Still hilarious though. It's timed so that "DAY" is the release of the shout, so it sounds more like "Good.... DAY sir!"

Best, most noteworthy or otherwise interesting Skyrim moment?

I'd have to go with the first time I played it with mods on. My three favorites were, in no particular order, (1) exploding chickens, (2) giving all the mudcrabs top hats and monocles, and (3) playing the Dexter sound clip "Surprise, Muthaf***a!" after every sneak attack. Oh, and (4)...

Name some good early access games.

Nuclear Throne and Kerbal Space Program are probably about as good as it gets at the moment. If you are into games like Titan Quest, Grim Dawn might be worth a look as well.

Name some good early access games.

This looks really interesting. I'm going to try the demo. Fascinating... Looks like a distant relative of Dwarf Fortress's Adventure mode. I'm way too lazy to figure out which one came first, but at first glance one of them seems to have heavily influenced the other.

Name some good early access games.

Right, so Early Access is usually something of a bad word, what with all the shoddy games of that type crowding up Steam. A lot of people say that they have no idea why early access games even exist. Which is fair, if you're talking about the broken messes all too common on Steam these days...

Your Most Hated Interpretation of A Character you like?

EVERYTHING ABOUT WORLD WAR Z. This has definitely been clubbed to death, but it was still nothing short of a personal tragedy for me. So many interesting and diverse (kinda) stories, showing how different people from the world over dealt with the zombie apocalypse, and it gets turned into...

Europeans and Call of Duty: Is CoD a "thing" in your country?

United States. It's a generally accepted fact among everybody I know, at least, that CoD is the single most popular thing since the automobile. I'm not a fan but many people I know who play CoD literally bought an XBone for the sole purpose of playing CoD: Ghosts. That ought to pretty much...

    When is a Game Done?

With the exception of very few games, "Early Access" sends up a warning flag for me. I admit to a certain amount of bias, but for the most part I can't be bothered to play a game that hasn't reached the point where its developers said, "Okay, this is where we wanted to go with it." If they're...

Name one game you wish you'd played when it just came out.

The Elder Scrolls games. I started playing Oblivion just last year because I stumbled across it on Steam and my friends were shocked that I hadn't played it before. Then I jumped on the Skryim bandwagon this year. There are ups and downs to it; I certainly don't regret getting better prices...
