Are you really saying this with an air of credibility?
Ok, I enjoy South Park, to give you a barometer of how "stuck up" I am. I laugh frequently at it, despite the fact that Cartman is calling people gay and jew left and right. The reason why I laugh at him is because his character is that...
Again, I do understand what is being said with regards to the term gay being used for things that aren't...gay.
It hasn't been totally removed from it's more common, sexual meaning. As I said in a previous post, a homophobic will use it to describe gay people negatively as well as...
I think we're all aware of how the word is used differently but that doesn't make them all good choices.
Your first example is antiquated. No one uses that expression to describe happiness anymore unless they're of pensionable age, and even now they're probably more aware of it's modern...
Why use gay to describe something that isn't homosexual when a number of other words are more suitable and befitting of your intellect?
You might realise that "gay" in the sense of saying something is bad, in your example Star Trek (as opposed to the actor) started out as a defamatory remark...
When we think back to the games I didn't see anyone complain that the Prince wasn't made of 'Persian pixels'. I may be wrong but the chap that did the motion capture for the moves in the game was American too.
I do see what you're saying, that it could be more accurate, but by the same token...
Not on you, no, because you need to grow up and realise the world doesn't stop with what you think is acceptable. Unless... you're a secret spokesman for the New World Order. In that case I'm sorry, and do I have to have this chip in my arm, sir?
I will defend this guy as much as I like...
Apologies to the more broadminded of you, and I will admit some of this is generated by the "other" thread on the same topic. I'm directing this at people that can't see past their own nose.
Here are some "theories" (most are common, some are not) about the person that owns this system (some...
Most depressing thought... hmmm. Too many to list if one was to really get into it, but for the sake of discussion I throw this out there:
You Tube comments.
List upon list of hateful, racist, ignorant, and downright unpleasant text representations of human detritus for all to see...
This is exactly the one sided stuff I'm getting at. Essentially different games appeal for different reasons to different people.
Personally, I find shooting the same half dozen or so types of zombies over 4 maps to unlock achievements pretty repetitive and more of a grind than wow, but I...
I'm an optimist, so I'm going to attempt to reason with you.
NewClassic CARES about ZP, and that's why he took the trouble to post what he did (pre-prepared or not). I think it's entirely reasonable to suggest he might even care more than many of us here. He's a fan of everything ZP...
Apologies for making it sound like you played for a whole year. To be fair, someone who would go to the trouble of writing that many academic papers, the song etc with any kind of extensive knowledge or authority seems like they'd need to play it for longer than a week.
People can level...
Safe to say that a long time after you quit wow it was still dominating your life. All that essay writing. No wonder you hate it so.
Perhaps you should have maybe balanced it with other activities so it didn't get that bad.
Blame the game all you like. It was your choice I assume...
First post here. Hello all.
Firstly let me qualify some of the following with a bit of background:
I'm 36 years old. I've had a relatively (compared to some of you, though this is not a me pulling the age card) long life, seen many wonderful and terrible things (and the whole spectrum of...
