A good friend of mine killed a plasma TV over a LAN Halo game (I'm more into killing cell phones).

If in fact that its a matter of ironing-out the new consoles would'nt the huge sums of money being spent speed the process up not let it stall in the middle I can count on my fingers and toes (might be a little more) the number of games for the PS3 that were worth 67$ US.

I suppose that is a serious problem from the reviewers end, your forced to move with herd or get trampled. A serious review would have to be either very technical thus rendering it boring or condenced to a foot note no one would read. It is a shame that an honest opinon is over shadowed by...

How can you say that games are getting better when there are less new ideas and more copy pasted games. Even a good game over played (or a good idea) becomes boring.

Thats a little better. Well I'm not saying that it should'nt be injoyed I'm just saying that why is it so hard to get a serious reviewer with a bit of distance from the industry. A person with an honest and slantless opinion

I had nothing but love for ID when I was younger but Doom in its new form was a terrible game. That wasnt the start of the downhill slope of modern FPS games though 007 GoldenEye for the N64 was the one that made me start to think.

SakSak no big deal lack of sleep and a need to hold up a standard are good enough reasons for me to get bent out of shape suppose it would be unfair to expect less from another person. The only problem with comical reviews though is its hard to take the game seriously after you've heard it...

The market is flooded with COD reskins you can thank X-brats for that but it doesnt mean that the game has to be poor. People have just excepted it as it is and not demanded a better game for there buck.

Are your expectations high because of cost or repeated let downs ? Reviews are less of a problem then game quality. The two go hand in hand so you have to solve one before the other.

I suppose it would'nt kill me to clean it up a little. You have a valid point too, most "gamers" know better then to take someones word for it and insist on playing (or renting) a game before passing judgement. Its the people who are not as well informed that suffer and create the quality drain.

But should the people buying the games that make gaming profitable except less from the ones making them?
