    Its not dark colony (but very similar) :( You control just one of the soldiers, and kill aliens to earn credits. You can use the credits to call reinforcements, one of the reinforcements is a ship that drops 5-6 soldiers into the battlefield.

    The characters you described look like Megaman and Zero from the megaman series(Zero isnt a woman but has long hair and uses a laser sword).
