Poll: How do you take rejection?

I love getting rejected by employers. Either I learn something from the rejection, or it turned out to not be worth my time anyway. I can pretty much nail any application now though. When you have enough experience to back you up, you're in.

Poll: Glasses-wearing escapists! How do you adjust them when they start slipping?

I generally just push up on the bridge. Once, playing with my band, my glasses were sitting right at the end of my nose after a heavy part of the song, so I just used the head stock of my guitar to push them back up.

The last thing you saw that made you say, "Shut up and take my money!"

Pretty much any guitar, bass, keyboard, drum kit, PA set, microphone, anything music related. If I see it, I'm all "I'll have that!".

Doctor Who: Which Doctor should I start with?

The Doctor is The Doctor. I started with Tom Baker, but I ended up watching EVERY EPISODE EVER. If you're drawn to the idea of the new Doctor Who series, only watch that, because Old Doctor Who is very drawn out. Story Arcs would go for many episodes, with quite a few showing just filler. The...

    Guess my avatar source

Well, mine is probably too easy to guess these days, but finding his first real appearance will be hard for everyone.

    What's your rig?

I have a lot of friends that do that. With a simple acoustic, it makes no difference when you restring it. Hell, sometimes it doesn't even matter with electrics, just look at Hendrix. ...nice...that is all I can say to that.

    What's your rig?

GUITARS! Yes, guitar rigs. Post a photo (or not, whatever suits) and list what your guitar/s and amp/s are. This is also for friendly discussion as to why you picked those guitars/pickups/amps/pedals. This is NOT to turn into a Gibson vs Fender thread at all, or any other "Mine is better...

Poll: How do you rate your own appearance?

I honestly rate myself as a...2? I don't like my own appearance at all, but others have claimed I'm much better than that...yeah, I'm going to hold my ground at a 2.

    Computer SOS -Solved

Reset the modem, that could help. You might have also breached your quota...if you even have those in the USA, I know I do, and it 200Gb/month, and I love it.

    Computer SOS -Solved

More or less, it puts less strain on the power supply. When you install an operating system, you use more power (around twice as much) than you ever do normally, because RAM, CPU, the hard drives, dvd drive, graphics card (dunno why) and all features on the motherboard are fully active so...

    Computer SOS -Solved

Okay, variety of things my dear Portal. Go for barebones to install an OS, I always do this because I seem to have a ridiculously high power draw when installing an OS, it confuses me as to why. Take the PC to 1 stick of RAM, use on-board graphics if available and clean the dust out of your fans...
