Too little, too late. I was a fan of this game when it did the two betas, and then when it came out in March. But when that first major patch hit and introduced the first Incursion, everything went downhill from there. Incursions are long and boring, enemies hit too hard and take too much...

As a fan of the game who still plays occasionally on PS4, I think this is a step in the right direction. The game is lackimg a strong playerbase, and perhaps by going free, it will help bring more into the fold, at least enough for matches to be made up without bots. I hope they stsy smart...

There probably won't be a Tommy, as this seems like a reboot instead of a sequel. I kinda figured Prey's shtick was "mystical Native American abilities" versus alien technology, but they abandoned that with this.

So are they trying to compete with Minecraft or something? The majority of the DLC for this game has been all about building things, with Far Harbor being the only meaty one with a new area and story to explore. Makes no sense...

Honestly, I don't think it really matters with this. PS4 has "backward compatibility" in the form of PS Now. It's not true backward compatibility like the past, sticking an old disc in a new console, but it's something if someone REALLY wants to play a PS3 game and they don't have a PS3...

I'm sure if they really wanted to, they could take the irreplacable assets, like voicework and music, they have from an original copy and use them to build on the source code of HW HD. Maybe.

I hope that's true, then maybe we'll see shorter print times for things, ESPECIALLY Core Sets of LCGs like Conquest and Game of Thrones 2.0! It's tough trying to make a sale into an LCG when there's no core set to start with.

I would think being able to download, play and hold onto a bunch of games without needing to pay anything extra constitutes being "free". It's PS Plus that costs $50 for a year, while the games themselves are given away free of charge. But that's just semantics at this point. Bottom line...
