If you play both 1 and 2 you find out the locust were always there and are fighting 2 wars. One with the humans above and one with the Imulsion which is actually a living thing and is killing the locust. Thats why they are trying to run to the surface. They are trying to survive and we are in...
No matter how much i dis-like WoW I don't think anything is gonna kill it except for bored players.
Hell, my game (DDO) has had a small base for the last 3 years but and AC i think is smaller than use but were still here cause we love it.
I imagine WoW wil be much the same.
Good call. This is the reason i started this thread to help the guys who wanted to try out DDO meet up with us in game.
I'm sure anyone who has offered help, includign my self, will be glad to recieve messages on this site as well.
This is kind of a difficult thing simply because of the mechanics involved. I am a DM and could teach your how to play but DnD is one of those things I'd would have to be able to at least talk to get the true feel for it.
The basics you would need to play a real game is (1) Dungeon Master...
If there is one thing a absoluty love about this game is the fact that aside from being an MMO it is nothing like WoW. This is most noticable in the way combat works.

The purpose of this thread is to try and match up experienced Dungeons and Dragon Online players with some of the people here that wanna try out the game in a effort to kinda show them the ropes.
I play on Ghallanda server at all hours on the weekends and from about 530pm pac to about 1000pm...
Never made a citizrens arrest.
Got maced once trying to help a cop in a bar fight, his partner had his hands full and couldn't reach him, that stuff burns :)
Ohh definatly....the combat system lends itself much more to soemone that is familiar with fps than traditional mmo's. Hell, thats why i love DDO. That turn based crap of WoW makes me wanna take a shotgun blast to the face :)
Soloing is very possible, and profitable on a caster, up to about...
As a long time gaming buddy of mine once said..."Get your ass over here, I need my meatshield."
I can't say why but being able to take the hits nobody else can and dish out the DPS that very few can just makes me happy :)
While this is true for those of us who have been playing/know the game. I was looking at it from the perspective of someone who isn't gonna be familiar with the feats/spells/enhancments/etc....
Actually DDO is all about the grouping. While you can solo alot of the content most of it needs a group (2-6 or 12 if a raid) to be completed. This one is all about the community and getting to people as well as playing a game.
