Sure it does, but these are things that need long term planning, and the longest term planning politicians here do is the time to the next election. And they get votes.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but I have a visually impaired friend who works as a programmer. Some games could be made more accessible, like having some big notes with big contrast in guitar hero for example. But I really think he is just trying to make easy money...

Not increasing the resolution also means they are not fragementing more the market, it is just bigger version of the same machine, which means a developer don't have to make more tha one version of his software.
