Honestly, I think the reaction from reddit is from three primary camps. People who thought it would suck still think it will suck. People who thought it would be good based on a realistic idea of what it was trying to be still think it will be good. And people who had the complete wrong...
Well, that question can be taken a couple different ways, in terms of the word "plan."
I'm not actually planning on buying any particular game that's coming out this year. Will I? Probably, assuming something comes out that's reviewed well and that I'm interested in.
Probably worth pointing out that it's much more cost effective for phone app, and to a point PC, developers to target broader demographics, which demonstrates why your mum (and, yes, my mum) play their games on their phones, or maybe tablets, or MAYBE PC. It's very hard for a console game...
Personally I kinda wish they'd remake Fable 3 (yes, already), with the same plot, characters, setting, and voice actors, but with gameplay mechanics and user interface that aren't, y'know, brain-meltingly terrible. <.<

I've visited a lot, and read the forums occasionally, but I was waiting for the GW2 headstart thing to... well... start, and I saw this thread, and it was something to do with my time.
No, but they do bear a striking resemblance, I must say.
For lack of anything better, I'll refer to it as "Sir not appearing in this game."
