Zero Punctuation: Shadow of the Colossus

In 450+ comments, somebody probably already mentioned it, but my video game snob side feels the need to point out that we don't really know if the girl in the game is a love interest. The plot analyses I've read indicate that she is most likely not, but rather a girl who the main character...

    Most unfriendly online community

Probably this one, based strictly on the mods. Video game wise, I've always found Warcraft III players to be the dregs of society in general.

    Zero Punctuation: Bayonetta

    Yahtzee is British, Philistine.

    Zero Punctuation: Bayonetta

I laughed hard at the Pac-Man plot joke. "Eat pills, avoid ghosts. Only sometimes you can eat ghosts if youAAAGH"

    Zero Punctuation: Darksiders

Yahtzee! Are you going to tackle Silent Hill: Shattered Memories or Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles? Seem like games that are up your alley... well, at least the first one. I enjoyed the atmosphere even if the controls completely dropped the ball as usual.

Games you wish had a sequel.

I was aware Earthbound was part of a series, but my understanding was that the J-only loose sequel "Mother 3" released on the GBA wasn't the same as the fully 3D (amazing, for its time) Earthbound 64 that we were supposed to get. But not having played the game or been aware of the fan...

Games you wish had a sequel.

Earthbound, all day and all night. I was heartbroken when Earthbound 64 never came together after the screenshots made it into Nintendo Power back in the day. Barring that, I'd like to see a sequel to Kid Icarus that still has the basic gameplay of the original, if that's even possible in this...

Poll: Eye for an eye, what do you think?

Historically, the Jews were given the "eye for an eye" command because they were going nuts with cruel and unusual punishment. People were being killed for relatively minor offenses. The people in charge (well, God, if you believe that) instituted the "an eye for an eye" command to get them to...

The Saddest Moment In A Game

Thought of another one: Chrono Cross, when Kid gets stabbed. You've been seeing premonitions about this for a long time, but you think there'll be a way to stop it... then Lynx switches bodies with you, and you don't have that control anymore. The Harle storyline was also very sad... and...

The Saddest Moment In A Game

Obvious answers that I will agree to (SPOILERS AHEAD, and you should know that by now if you're in this thread; but I'll try to keep it somewhat general): FFVII, death of Aeris. This was the first game where the characters felt real to me, and this scene evoked tears from me more than once...

1.5 Million Bought Dead Space, 3 Million Played It

I rented it and enjoyed it a lot. But I got pretty much the full enjoyment possible out of it for my eight bucks, rather than spending sixty for the distinction of owning it and watching it depreciate in value. Some games are still very good, but just make better rentals.

    Yahtzee's Prototype vs. InFamous Challenge

It's nice to know that you have this much power in the gaming industry, neh?
