Great points, I strongly agree with your "let the player get himself raped" point. Not enough games allow that. Is it possible to have a "linear" game that allows the player to CHOOSE to engage enemies that will utterly crush him? And Sigmaco, I'd love to see a nice open-ended FPS too. Dunno...
