I agree with your initial statement about seeing more of a problem with Heimdall being black. It's disrespectful to the Norse religion, culture, and thus people. At least Marvel had the good sense not to turn the "Whitest God" black in the comics. Why stop at Norse Gods? All you'd have to do...
