if you look closely, you will see that Shepard shot Ghost somewhere in his chest (bloodmarks give it away when he is thrown in the ditch). And seconds later that Shadow company guy pores gas on Roach, but not on Ghost. I think Ghost survived, and i think Ghost is Gaz.
