My main critique would be that the content of the article doesn't appear to match up with, or support, the premise/title. This is more a discussion of why the author liked Alien (and that type of movie) more than Aliens (and that type of movie). There is no actual discussion of the Alien...

Apologies if this is pedantic but: "George RR Martin's Song of Fire and Ice series" The actual name of the series is "A Song of Ice and Fire".
