Eternal Darkness gave me quite a few scares.
The scariest game, though, is definitely Alien vs Predator (1999).
Loved the game, but I always fired up the game with some trepidation. Especially if I was playing as marine. That shit was scary as hell.
I love that game. The mood in some parts of the game is just great. It still moves me today.
My favourite game, though, is Secret of Mana.
Still play it from time to time, and I've just taken my D&D-players through a fun campaign based on the game. :)

I was lying awake in bed, thinking about all the great time I've had with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on N64. I've been a fan of FPS since I first discovered Wolfenstein 3D, and when Duke Nukem 3D came I knew that it was love.
The games just got better and better, and I was really impressed...
Oh, how could I forget to mention the nuke in Shadow Warrior.
Extremely fun in a death match.
