Eternal Darkness gave me quite a few scares. The scariest game, though, is definitely Alien vs Predator (1999). Loved the game, but I always fired up the game with some trepidation. Especially if I was playing as marine. That shit was scary as hell.

I love that game. The mood in some parts of the game is just great. It still moves me today. My favourite game, though, is Secret of Mana. Still play it from time to time, and I've just taken my D&D-players through a fun campaign based on the game. :) Duke Nukem 3D comes a close second...

Oh, how could I forget to mention the nuke in Shadow Warrior. Extremely fun in a death match. You run around looking for your prey when you suddenly hear "3... 2.... 1... all systems ready." Run, hide and pray!

I immediately thought of cerebral bore from Turok 2 and the laptop gun from Perfect Dark. Both tremendous fun to use, especially the latter.
