I was a huge Tolkien nerd in my youth, I had all all the unfinished lore books and was quite fluent in High Elvish. I still consider SoIaF a better, more well constructed series though. I recently re-read the old Tolkien lore books and for me they don't quite reach the lofty heights they used to.

My last cat was called Tenchu. She was a small black cat who would hide behind and under things and launch vicious stealth attacks at passerby's.
