Well, they can put whatever they want in the EULA, but that doesn't mean jack squat if the laws that govern our country ( U.S.) say different, and they do.
So Sony is going to have to man up in the courts to provide relief for any victims due to this breach of their security.

The cost of doing business for Sony is the risk of becoming civilly liable ,if its networks get hacked, for its customers information etc.
