    Maybe "Cyborg Justice" (1993)? Although it was for Sega Genesis, if you had played it on PC, you could make a wrong assumption since you're playing on an emulator anyway.

    I googled Riven and it was it! Thanks a lot, I owe you one. Turns out the CD label wasn't a Sierra logo after all, I had already rummaged through Sierra's games.
