Mark Of The Ninja: Moral Choice system done right.

Ummm, sorry man, I don't post much because I only check-in with the website every now and then. What's a "plant"? Is that like, somebody developers pay? And if so, can I pretend to be an internet James Bond? That would be kinda cool.

Mark Of The Ninja: Moral Choice system done right.

Hey everyone. Mark Of The Ninja just came out on Steam and I've been playing a fair bit when it struck me that is was an almost perfect example of a moral choice system in a game. There is no bar that swings red or blue, quite simply it's built into the game. Quickly, being evil (i.e. killing...

Poll: Has Diablo 3's always-online mechanic made you more likely to consider Torchlight 2?

Pretty much just the question. Given that quite a few key people from Diablo 2 went over to make Torchlight, are the problems with Diablo 3's servers, technically (and ethically? in principle?), making you more likely to consider Torchlight 2?

    E-Sports benefit from set time-limit?

Agreed, that would seem a little absurd. Obviously, the 99 unit player would win still, but that would be frustrating. While Starcraft has done well, no doubt, it would be difficult to time in that someone could conceivably win 10 minutes into the game and then you would have 20 minutes of just...

    E-Sports benefit from set time-limit?

That is a bummer :( But wouldn't that problem be even worse if, for instance, you had a SC2 game that actually went for 50 minutes instead of 20 - 30? It would be hard to schedule at all.

    E-Sports benefit from set time-limit?

Hey, So I've been wondering about how E-Sports might increase it's viewer ship and I came upon the idea of giving them time limits like other sports. I don't know about the rest of the world, but in Australia if you want to watch a game (basketball, football, etc.) you know you have to set...

You get to greenlight a sequel to any game that has ever existed. Which game do you choose?

Absolutely no question. I've just finished playing through Future Perfect again and I haven't had so much fun with a shooter in a long time. No nukes, nothing is taken too seriously, no need for photo-realistic portrayals and 70% of the game isn't even in story mode but in badass arcade styles...

What is your favorite "Unknown" game?

Star Wars: Republic Commando for either PC or Xbox. I don't know if that's obscure enough but I feel it deserves more attention. Good AI, easy to control but complex enough squad tactics and on the harder difficulty, a real challenge. Check it out

    Game Duration: Is bigger, Better

Quality over quantity. In my favour I point to "Shadow of the Colossus"

    School I am Disappoint

Hmmm, if I were to put my anarchist hat on I'd say you should team up with some of the more tech-minded students and find a way to crash the convoluted system entirely. No-one can submit, no-one can get marked, everything comes to a halt as the over-blown system collapses under its own weight...

Experiencing more of a game on the hardest difficulty (Or why you should?)

To start out, I am a shooter fan. I enjoy other games, but really, my poision of choice usually invovles blowing some guy away. Lately these days, I find myself only really playing my shooters on the hardest difficulty. Now this isn't a bragging post or anything stupid like that, but my thinking...

Futurology. Because the Future is now.

Personally, I think a food crisis is going to hit us before we manage a truely sustainable nation or state. The world's population is increasing exponentially and we already use 1.4 Earths (in resources) a year then can be renewed by the the Earth. So, possibly a huge food crisis in the next...

    How did you do that?

I slept with the Dean of the university and also stole a fresh identity. How did you dodge that bullet?

    Well, that was quick...

For me personally, it would have been about a week. Then she moved to France, or maybe a French guy she was sweet on moved here. I think I've blocked out the specifics.
