My most recent bullshit moment was in Assassins Creed 2 in about 3/4 of the game when the main mcguffin is stolen by some bloke. "Better find him and get it back" says the hero, than the story fast forwards NINE FUCKING YEARS later and apparently NO ONE has done ANYTHING to recover the device...
