It is a shame that such decent game play had to be ruined by such horrible, agonizing cutscenes. Remove all dialog and story from the game and it would be awesome.

Comparative to some of the suggestions above, my recommendation will probably be a bit sub-par. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the "Heirs of Ash" trilogy by Rich Wulf. Defiantly look into Tolkien's works though. They are fantastic.

Disney lost any respect I had for them when they ruined Winne the Pooh. Really it is a horror that has no proper wording. OT: Pixar movies are always good. My suggestion would be to pull out the good cartoons of old to let em know the awesomeness that they missed.

Books should not be made into movies. It seems that no director wants to admit that the story of the book is better than his idea for the movie. Eragon was a good example. If someone could actually make the movies better resemble the books it would be worth it.
