15 years of PlayStation

as a PS gamer (not fanboy) i remember basing my childhood around crash bandicoot crash bash and crash racing (crash was awesome back then) some of you may have grown up on different games and consoles and this is what this topic is dedicated to, how did your first console effect your life today if at all? (if i got bad English im sorry lol)

Hogs of war. I loved that game, but I got to good at it and my girlfriend stopped playing me.

OT: Back in the day I played a lot of JRPGs on the playstation and a lot of FPS on the PC. Nowadays I play a lot of story driven single player games and FPS so not a lot has changed there. I can say that I'm not thrilled about online gaming, probably becauase I never had access to it when I was younger so the need for company while I play is counter productive to my motives for playing in the first place.

I suppose like a lot of people, it got me back into gaming. I hadn't played video games for a while when the PS1 came out, and even then, I didn't end up getting one until FF7 came out.

Metal Gear Solid.

I was like 9 when my brother bought that game for his PS1.. Still today remains one of the most awesome games i have ever played, i was absolutely exstatic when it came on PSN !

That game got me into gaming, and it's been my style ever since, to go after games with story.

I have a small pile of PS1 games, nothing outstanding. But I did have Abes Oddysey (never got into it when I was younger) and I want to try it again but I discovered a few weeks ago that EVERY SINGLE CASE IS EMPTY SOMEHOW!

It was all about PlayStation back in the day. I think most people grew up on PlayStation 1 and 2s. In fact, you were seen as 'one of those' if you had an Xbox over a PS2. Pretty much everybody I know intended to wait for the release of the PS3, but their retarded delays forced most of my friends towards the 360. It's a good job that their delays paid off, and that they added Blu-Ray, because I think it's one of the few things keeping it level on terms with the 360.

Oh, and Sony's ridiculous advertising campaign didn't help either. Can anybody remember it? In fact, I found a video:
