20 years from now, there will be large scale war.

20 years from now, there will be a plague of massive proportions.

20 years from now, there will be 18% oxygen, guess how much you need to live?

20 years from now, there will be mass famine in the third world.

20 years from now, all of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa will destroy themselves.

20 years from now, there will be no foreign travel outside the first world.

20 years from now, we will be killing people who try to cross the oceans.

What are you going to do to stop it? What can you do?

Many people will see this as a lie, a way to seek attention, a hyperbole at a disgusting degree; but, sadly I speak out only because no one seems willing to speak up. Many people are saying save the environment, it is stupid to even try. We should not be trying to save that environment we should be trying to save ourselves. We need to start planting trees and increasing the O2 in the atmosphere; because, if we don?t we will all die.

Even if we do everything we can there is one simple fact. We need to reduce our population. There are simply too many people to remain stable forever.

20 years from now, an influx of Indian-born engineers to the United States will cause a massive bridge surplus in the U.S. You will literally not be able to drive without going over a bridge.

20 years from now, all democratic elections will be decided by a single obese Finnish man after all electronic voting machines are hacked. The results will largely be the same.

20 years from now, the continued dominance of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic over all media reaches an Orwellian degree, as all broadcasts contradictory to friendship are banned. Any person attempting to draw something that isn't adorable is sentenced to immediate execution.

20 years from now, piracy on the waterways reaches a new golden age as all seagoing transportation is harassed by gangs such as a unified group of Somalian refugees, a gang of exiles from Sri Lanka, and a group of Boy Scouts in canoes in the river Thames.

20 years from now, Hal10k retreats to his island fortress in the Bering Strait, swearing revenge on humanity for allowing him to purchase an island fortress. He emerges five years later cursing angrily at himself, having lost legal possession of the fortress to his own left shoe in a very confused game of high-stakes Scrabble. He is shortly gunned down by the Boy Scouts.

This is fun!

They have that shit now. It is just more R&D now, but they are still totally functional. That shit is scary too.

Like 18% of the atmosphere? Well right now oxygen is 21 percent of the atmosphere. It isn't that big of a drop. As it stands now, we can breathe on top of Everest more or less fine. Your bodily will actually adapt to it in that 20 year time in exactly the same way your body will adapt to living on a mountain. I am of course assuming this is true. I have no idea where you are getting these statistics.

Well, 20 years from now, we have already reached Mars and we are setting our sights on exoplanets next. How does that sound?

In 20 years time people will still be using ridiculous, baseless hyperbole as a scare tactic.

I have to wonder if the OP is being serious or not.

He jumps from hot-button issue to hot-button issue, but never really deals with any of them.

Twenty years from now I will be at the ripe old age of forty-four. That is a really scary thing to think about. Twenty Years from now Half-Life 3 will still not be out.

Stop breaking the space-time-continuum. Stop it right now.

OT:
20 years from now I'll largely be living my life the same way I am now, and if we truly are going to kick it due to oxygen shortage we'll just quietly drift off into eternal slumber without any pain at all.

If you're in a position to change or remedy things on a large scale, great, use your power to improve the situation. If you're not, just do what you can individually and feel good about it, secure in the knowledge that if this dump goes straight to hell in the end it won't be on your head. Getting all worked up about what might happen in worst-case scenarios really won't help anyone.

20 years from now I will still get scared reading things on a forum even though I don't believe them. D:

20 years from now I will be 20 years older. Or dead.
