It's that time of year again, time for my annual Steam Summer Sale After Action Report thread. For those new here, this is a thread I do once a year (coupled with an accompanying one in winter for the Winter Sale) where we all report in our battle damage from the sale.

This year my haul was as follows:

SENRAN KAGURA Bon Appetit! - Full Course - CDN$ 10.49
Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri - CDN$ 1.62
Tabletop Simulator - CDN$ 10.99
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition - CDN$ 27.99
Golf With Your Friends - CDN$ 4.21

Total cost: CND$ 55.30

Total "savings": CND$ 84.65

An unusually small take, usually I spend between 100 and 200 at these things, but this year was pretty lacklustre.

I've managed to keep it at a clean zero since I bought Rocket League in the previous Winter Sale.

I think I bought some DLC for Company of Heroes 2 for 10 euro and that was it. I've been through all the summer sales so I've bought pretty much all the games I want, find myself buying less and less each year.

Just Warhammer 40k Spacemarine.

I really wanted to get Injustice 2, Doom, and Shadow of War but I felt like I could easily buy them at a much cheaper price down the road.

Spent absolutely nothing. I could ignore all of Valve's faults when they gave good discounts. Now they don't even do that. They are only good as a library.

I saw incredibly slashed prices this year on some games with usually pathetic sales and sales on games that NEVER go on sale, i.e. Guild Wars, Earth Defense Force 4.1, and Distant Worlds: Universe

Didn't get anything from Steam. Got Stardew Valley for ?12.99 from GOG a few weeks ago tho. Considering the obsessive amount of hours I've put into it since, I'd say that was money well spent.

In keeping with my pattern for the last few sales - nothing

Between work, the gym, the girlfriend, and my D&D groups I don't have all that much time to play games in the first plac. I rarely see any huge deals that entice me enough to pull the trigger on games I know I will struggle to carve out time for. I know this is a cliche- but I miss the flash sales. It added a little excitement to the events and resulted in much deeper discounts.

$0 - I'm replaying Persona 4 & 5, keeping me away from Steam; so the summer sale just passed under my radar. Oh, well. Nothing is lost by waiting until next year.

I bought Darkstone, Dragon's Lair, and Bladestorm: NIGHTMARE. Darkstone is better than I remember.

Just shy of $200USD, including $30 gift (Nioh Complete).

Main takeaways, Project Cars 1 & 2, Battletech, Agents of Mayhem and a few DLCs for older games. Only three things chalked off the wishlist.

The Crusader Kings 2 DLC that I was missing for 20 Euro (discounted at 50%) and Black Mesa at 8 Euro, normally 19.99. I already have loads of games and they don't hold the appeal that they used to.
