I just got my 360 for Christmas and alas I have no live due to the location of my home. I have put half of my life in to trying to figure out how to connect. I have this wireless internet card and that is the only way I can access the internet. I have heard talk of a magical router that can somehow connect me to xbox live through my desktop to my xbox using the ethernet cable. But since i suck at knowing how to use todays modern technology i cant be sure if this will actually work. I try to buy games that stick to the story and not multiplayer. But i couldnt help myself so i bought halo 3 which (in my current situation) was a waste of money. So i implore fellow escapists to tell me, are you a loner gamer or can you provide a solution.

For awhile I was really into Modern Warfare, but I decided to get Gamefly and starting playing games for the single player.

Look into this.

I do not have Live for two main reasons:

1. I don't feel like forking up the cash and my father (who bought the thing) chose not to get a Live subscription.
2. I am a PC Gamer, I have the internet.

Not sure if you say you are not on Live because you dont have internet access, but if its because of router distance problems you could try this http://www.faculty-x.net/homeplugs-at-a-glance.htm?gclid=CKiHruu39pkCFQqF3godhnSYRw works great, as long as you have plug sockets ;)

I'm in the same boat, mostly because I don't feel like paying $100 for a wireless adapter that should be BUILT IN, and also because I don't have Ethernet jacks in my basement.

I don't have live either because I don't have internet at home, because my parent are old school and thinks the internet is full of pedophiles and other predators.

I have a dial up speed internet, but last summer I had no internet, so I know how you feel.

I would suggest getting Civilization Revolution, Far Cry 2, GTAIV, and Fable 2 if you want games with more focus on single player and plenty of replayability.

I also suggest Resident Evil 5 if you can put up with the AI partner, and in my opinion, the AI partner isn't that bad. I've beaten the game on Veteren with just me and the AI partner, and I did fine

I cant stand the AI she shoots me in the back more than she shoots the bad guys.

I would go out and pick up Oblivion ASAP hours of solitary goodness.

Do those things really work properly? That's a lot cheaper and easier than the ethernet bridge i was going to go for.

Live would just be a humongus hassle for me, so I live without it. Although I wish I did so I can play with my bud in Mississippi while I'm sitting on the otherside of the US

Yep I use it, works flawlessly. You need two of course, then you just plug in and you are away. Also most packs come with two ethernet cables included so all's good.

My wii comes standard with wireless internet.
Funny I had to buy a special cord to be able to use my Wii online since I don't have a wireless connection.

Really?! Because when she shoots at me the bullet goes through me, and the same is when I shoot her.
Is there even friendly fire in that game?
