So recently my 360 has decided to stop reading dics. My question is does anyone know what might be wrong? And if so how do I fix it or should I just go buy a new box?

I have no idea how to fix it, but I know how you can get it fixed.

Don't buy a new xbox. Instead, assuming the warranty is still valid (which it most likely is, unless you've been modding your console), send it to Microsoft to get it fixed. It takes a while, but at least it's free.

Can you clarify whether or not it has stopped reading all discs or just one?
all the discs. But Microsoft said it will cost $100 to get it fixed by them and he said it might just be old? Which annoyed me.

Its the disc read error.
The one Microsoft refuse to grant the 3 year warranty to.
If it's over a year old it's a chargeable repair or new console.
If it's under a year old then it's repaired/replaced by Microsoft free of charge.

The problem could either be with the lens for reading the disc, or the Disc Drive randomly died like mine did not too long ago. Still I would've thought that Microsoft would repair it if it's still in warranty.
