Needed to buy a new tv and went insane:

3d-tv + 3d-glasses + 3d-BluRay + Wreck-It Ralph + The Avengers + The Hobbit Extended Edition.

I Freaking LOVE IT.

So can you guys name other awesome 3d-movies for me to buy?

Well, obviously Avatar, but you have probably seen it already. Gravity's 3D was apparently pretty good?

Avatar, Hugo, and Gravity (not yet on home video) have been the three films I've seen where 3D improved the experience.

Without wanting to get on an anti-3D rant, those are the only ones I could recommend. Maybe other animated films, as they generally look okay.

I can add whatever the last Resident Evil movie was to the list. Weirdly enough for such a low brow franchise, it was actually filmed in 3D, instead of converted in post, and it's impressive, as all native 3D is. The movie itself, not so much, but it's a nice tech demo.

Also Pacific Rim was amazing in 3D, it's one of those rare examples of how a film converted in post can actually look excellent, if the producers and/or director actually spend the time and money getting it right. Speaking of post conversions, I'd also recommend The Phantom Menace 3D (did that get a blu-ray release?), but I'd skip Jurassic Park 3D, which had a lot of bad instances of the popup book effect, and also managed to make the wonderful live action dinosaurs look like puppets. Which of course they were, but they never actually looked like that on screen until the 3D version.

I don't know if you can still find a copy, but The Lion King was pretty awesome in 3D... Finding Nemo 3D was okay, but other than that, everyone else has said the other "better" 3D movies...

Now, I want to go re-see Gravity... only this time in 3D... (I usually don't end up watching them in 3D to begin with... except the Disney re-releases in 3D, Pacific Rim (the first time), and the last Harry Potter movie... (where only the last battle sequence looked its best in 3D, in my opinion...)
