Obviously 3D can be seriously uncomfortable but I saw today on a BBC article that alot of parents are returning 3DS's because of them causing their children headaches. While i haven't bought one (yet) I did play street fighter on a demo model at a local gamestop and I had the same problem after about 15 seconds. Mind you I've played the entirety of killzone 3 and many hours of GT5 on my LG TV in 3d for hours and not had that problem. (adjusting that slider on the 3DS didnt help much) I'm not really up to date on the screen tech used on the 3DS but is it just naturely harder on the eyes without glass's or whats the deal?

This should go into the gaming discussion forum. This forum is for Forum games and Role-playing.

As for the 3DS, I don't have one so I really can't say. Although I can probably imagine the 3D it has would strain the eyes a bit. I'm not sure though.

3D has a different signal flicker than normal televisions or computer monitors. If your eyes can't adjust properly or you hold it wrong, it becomes frustrating for your eyes to try and interpret the signal. This comprehension annoyance in the sight center of your brain comes out as a headache.

I was wondering if it also wouldn't have something to do with the setting your playing in, for example playing a 3DS in a very lightly lit store where my eyes tend to try to focus on things around me rather then the tiny little screen and playing killzone 3 in pitch black with nothing for my eyes to focus on other then the screen itself. Nintendo is insisting the reports of the returns are exaggerated at best and i tend to believe them

("THE SUN" was claiming thousands but GAME in the UK said they had only 5 returns)
