School officials in suburban Dallas have given an in-school suspension to 4-year-old Taylor Pugh because his hair is considered too long. Pugh's parents say officials are 'more concerned with the boy's hair than his education.' (Dec. 16)

4 years... bit young for a youth in revolt headbanger isn't it?

He's a cute kid (with the long hair) but his parents fail in the first impressions department.

That's freakin' stupid, I not only think that kid should not cut his hair, but come back from the suspension with it even longer than before. I wonder if that school was the setting of a certain Pink Floyd music video?

Or maybe the lady in the video just didn't like the kid because he had the same hairstyle as her.

"Yes, you're in trouble young man. You were supposed to get a haircut when it passed this many inches." How are schools supposed to teach people when the ones running some of them are dumber than bricks?

I have long hair, and Im getting along perfectly fine. If the 4 year old wants to rock the hippie-hair, more power to him. The fact that he got suspended sickens me, and I dont see what the big deal is. Its just hair, we all have it.

People are getting bent out of shape over a four year old's hair? What the hell?

I am concerned about his ability to see what is being taught or his educational materials but other than that I don't see what's the big deal with his hair. Unless it was obstructing other students it is no reason to take such rash action.

Most people here will side with the parents but the school is just enforcing a rule. But the school must understand that society has changed heaps since that rule was put in place and as society evolves the rules need to evolve with it.

D'awwww. That little boy is cute. XD

I'm sure that the school has better things to do than to pressure a four year old little boy to get his hair cut. And if they don't then... they probably shouldn't be allowed to teach.

Have you been to school recently? They NEVER have anything better to do. Teachers are, mostly, idiots. My school has bought more than 7 wide screen TVs. What do they do? They show announcements, and that's only half the time. The other half, they're off. Why are they off? To save money on the electricity. And yet we can't afford paper... blagh
