They are the judges, the final boss of the internet. They punish those who deserve it ... and reward those who deserve it also. The decision over who is worthy of punishment or reward is one that they make themselves, to their own twisted moral code. Nevertheless, some recognisable seed of morality is detectable at the heart of it.
Furries? They see as dangerous perverts, though this is more of a joking love-hate thing; so the hammer is swung.
Old soldiers? They like. They are awesome. They gave them up as potential sacrifices for others. Love is spread.
Scientology (note: not necessarily Scientologists, who are mainly regarded as victims)? Thieves, murderers, false prophets, con artists, liars. Hammer.
Poor people? Particularly internets poor people? They are their brothers and sisters. Starving. It's christmas. It's only right to help.
So on and so forth, through Gaia and Habbo (thieves - and just plain annoyances) through neo-nazi and horrendously fundamentalist christian organisations, and even the victims of murderers.
It gets a bit fuzzy when you come to the subject of child porn and stalking teenage would-be self portrait artists, and just hacking things for the lulz. But the members of anonymous are many and legion, of different moralities, ages and levels of maturity. They do not necessarily act as one, and indeed on these subjects there's much division and argument.
