Scenario - The world is coming to an end and you and GOD has guaranteed your survival. In addition, you can allow only 5 bands to be saved. Which ones would you choose?

3. POD (Payable On Death)
4. The Offspring
5. The Molly Ringwalds

Keep in mind that you pick the bands that you believe have the best music. Don't just choose a chick band just so you can repopulate the earth. Pick the bands whose music has influenced you the most.

Edit: Should have said this earlier. Any band can be chosen - Living, Dead, Together, Broken up - Doesn't matter.
