8 bit music

well ive been a fan of i fight dragons for awhile, theyre a band that uses modded controllers and 8 bit sounds to create some pretty catchy songs. i was wondering if anyone knows of any other bands that use 8 bit sound as well?

Not particularly. Ive heard a couple of those 8bit songs. They're interesting, but not something Id listen to regularly.

I don't know of any bands that actually make 8-bit songs but you can find 8-bit versions of many songs on youtube.

The most hated of all 8-bit bands and yet quite easily the best, Crystal Castles.

I don't what people say they're stealing from whom, most of it is bollocks and all of it is irrelevant.

I prefer more elaborate ensembles, personally. I do like a lot of songs that originally emerged in 8-bit form, but I'd rather have a remix or modern arrangement. They're nice, but they don't land on the ear quite as smoothly as modern electronic instruments.

I hardly post on here, just lurk, but yeah... chiptune is my current favorite genre of music, with Crystal Castles leading the way. You Love Her Coz She's Dead is good too, but they have a terrible scene-trash name. I'd post some sort of link of something, but I'm on a work computer and this is basically the only site that's not blocked.
